Diplomas can be earned for academic work completed through Seminary Extension. These diplomas are of two types:
1) Diplomas which are awarded by Seminary Extension
2) Diplomas awarded by individual Southern Baptist seminaries.

The diplomas awarded by Seminary Extension are as follows:
Diploma in Pastoral Ministries:
BB 3100
GM 3500
1 course with prefix of CH
1 course with prefix of RE
3 additional biblical courses (prefix BB, NT, or OT)
4 courses with prefix of PM (a course with prefix of CA or CD may be substituted for one of these PM courses)
1 course with prefix of TH
4 elective courses
Diploma in Educational Ministries:
BB 3100
GM 3500
1 course with prefix of CH
1 course with prefix of PM
3 additional biblical courses (prefix BB, NT, or OT)
4 courses with prefix of RE (a course with prefix of CA or CD may be substituted for one of these RE courses)
1 course with prefix of TH
4 elective courses
Diploma in Biblical Studies:
BB 3100
11 additional biblical courses (prefixes of BB, NT, or OT)
Advanced Diploma
Requirements for this diploma are sixteen courses beyond one of the specialized diplomas. A balance between curriculum areas is desired. The same course cannot be used for more than one diploma.
